Boatpark II in use
The expanded production facilities of 600 m2 are now taken in use at MarineGate.
The increased need to expand the production of Minor boats is the reason why this new additional space for final assembling and testing the boats was built.
This facility built directly connected to the old building makes the production more practical
and the Minor boats can now be manufactured in a even more efficient way.

40 years of pleasure and professional boats
.
This year, 40 years will have elapsed from the establishment of Sarins Boats Ltd by Edy Sarin. Edy was interested in glass fibre technology and commenced the manufacture of his own boat models from this material.

The first Minor motorboat was created in 1967. Minor 650 was the first boat with an aft cabin, and a couple of years later the late designer Sven Lindkvist drew Minor 700, the first walkaround boat that was sold in great numbers. Sven Lindkvist gave the Minor boats a new shell design, the same modern approach is also used in the seven models produced by the company nowadays. All models conform to the factory’s ideology: tough pleasure boats for the active people.

These days, the company has two production facilities in Öja and Lahdenperä in Western Finland. Sarins Boats launched exports in the early 1980s, and presently some 80 per cent of production is exported.
